Fred Again
Fred Again is a British musician, producer and DJ whose distinctive and emotionally resonant electronic music has connected with audiences around the world.
The Rumi Foundation is collaborating with Fred to explore how through catalytic philanthropy we can support lasting, systemic change across the UK’s children’s social care sector. Fred and The Rumi Foundation share a belief that every young person deserves opportunity, stability and the enduring relationships they need to thrive.

Through volunteering with Family Rights Group for many years, Fred is particularly passionate about its Lifelong Links programme which helps children in care and care leavers identify, rebuild and sustain positive relationships with relatives and other trusted adults, creating a loving support network that can remain with them into adulthood. Together with the use of family group conferences, which bring together relatives and friends who know and love a child to agree a safe and supportive plan for their future, the aim is to reduce the number of children entering care by a third within 3 years.
By bringing together Fred’s longstanding commitment, Family Rights Group’s expertise and The Rumi Foundation’s experience of catalytic philanthropy, this collaboration is rooted in shared values of compassion, connection and possibility. Together, we believe these values can help create meaningful change for young people and contribute to a stronger, more humane care system.
