At The Rumi Foundation we believe in the importance of identifying and nurturing talent in young people.
Since 2006 the Foundation has served as the channel for the Verjee family’s support of a portfolio of initiatives in the UK and further afield increasingly linked by a common thread. With a focus towards education, innovation and entrepreneurship, we seek to support individuals with the capacity to become future leaders; and organisations capable of building a better future for us all.
Re-imagine Education
Supporting young hearts and minds, and providing the next generation with the vital skills they’ll need to build a more caring and harmonious future.
Obama Foundation
Working with President Obama to search the globe for more thoughtful, more compassionate and more empowered future leaders in Europe and across the world.
Stop Ivory
Under threat of extinction - if we don’t take action today, our children will grow up in a world without the elephant.
Renaissance Foundation
Providing young carers, at risk disadvantaged school children and young transitioning hospital patients mentoring, guidance and friendship and a safe space where they can just be kids.
Defence & National Rehabilitation Centre (DNRC)
Providing critical care for injured soldiers; dedicated to the rehabilitation of servicemen and women who have suffered major trauma.
“From my earliest years there have been many people generous in their support of me, who have given me a break, a first step onto the ladder; and believed in my capacity to realise dreams that I was passionate about. I have also always believed in giving back. It is the mantra I live my life by. I am proud of the tradition of charitable giving that runs deep in my family, proud of the work we have done together and proud of those organisations and individuals that we have been able to support. The Rumi Foundation is the natural continuation of this philosophy and our commitment to doing whatever we can to make our world a better place.”
