Nobel Peace Prize Forum
“My generation will be defined by action, not apathy”
Yonanda Renee King
The Nobel Peace Prize Forum is one of the world’s leading gatherings dedicated to peace building, dialogue, and global cooperation. Each year it convenes Nobel laureates, policymakers, activists, philanthropists, and thought-leaders to explore the most pressing challenges facing humanity and to highlight pathways toward a more just and peaceful world.

2025’s Forum around finding a democratic pathway to peace brought together an inspiring line-up of speakers, including former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Edmundo Gonzalez – the President elect (in exile) of Venezuela, Mungi Ngomane – granddaughter of Desmond Tutu and Yolanda Renee King – the granddaughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Junior.
The Rumi Foundation was proud to play a pivotal role in Yolanda Renee King attending the Forum and providing a powerful young voice for nonviolence and social justice. Yolanda was joined on stage by Mungi Ngomane and their presence brought a compelling generational perspective to the Forum, reinforcing the enduring legacy of their grandfather’s and the importance of youth leadership in building a more hopeful future.
