In December 2025, The Rumi Foundation was pleased to hold a festive reception for The Clinton Foundation attended by Secretary Hilary Rodham Clinton to discuss the launch of the Clinton Policy Institute.
Hosted by Lord Rumi Verjee, Secretary Clinton spoke candidly that the accelerating threats to democracy, public health, economic security and global safety carry profound consequences for societies everywhere. Dealing with these threats require an affirmative, unifying agenda. One that delivers tangible outcomes, safeguards democratic and civic values and secures a healthy, prosperous future for generations to come.
This is the purpose of the Clinton Policy Institute (CPI): to drive meaningful, practical change where it is needed most. It develops policy frameworks, research and strategic approaches to major global challenges and shaping ideas into actionable models and evidence-based solutions.
CPI is an important addition to The Clinton Foundation ecosystem sitting alongside the very successful Clinton Global Initiative (CGI). The aim of CPI is to deliver the policy architecture and strategic frameworks that underpin sustainable, systems-level transformation for CGI to mobilises its global platform and networks to transform those foundations into real-world action and measurable impact.
The guests were delighted to have been entertained by the choir from Sherington Primary School who performed a wonderful medley of festive songs.
