The Rumi Foundation was pleased to see that the Clinton Global Initiative has been re-established post the global pandemic with intent to create and implement solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges.
In London, on 1 June 2022 The Rumi Foundation in partnership with the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation hosted an event for CGI with a dialogue between Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, The Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Glaxo Smith Kline CEO Dame Emma Walmsley.
Hosted by Lord Verjee, the dialogue explored the need for greater collaboration between the public and private sectors to foster positive social change, the importance of global empowerment of women and international policy to stem and address the issues of climate change.
Held in New York in September 2022, CGI will convene, connect and catalyse leaders in government business, philanthropy, grassroots organisations, media and academia to commit to take action on these important global issues
