KEY
Sessions
KEY Sessions is an exciting new charity founded by the BBC’s Amol Rajan and Aksia Senior Analyst Afolabi Oliver, which aims to raise the aspirations of inner-city teenagers growing up in London.
Short for “Knowledge Elevates Youth”, the organisation runs a series of interactive summer workshops led by relatable, high-achieving anchors, each day focussing on a different industry. The sessions are designed to leave the students inspired, more confident, with a network of industry mentors and a clear path towards their dream career. Tailor-made for 16-18 year olds, the atmosphere is kept open and informal, ensuring the delegates feel comfortable participating, can freely express themselves and really get the most from the event.
The summer academies link young Londoners with inspirational mentors from a broad range of professional backgrounds; including the worlds of finance, law, technology, media and creative industries, social entrepreneurs as well as the public sector and NGOs.
The Rumi Foundation is excited to support this innovative new project which provides a launch-pad for some of London’s best and brightest young talent to shine.
